Nikos Manouselis is a co-founder and the CEO of Agroknow, a company which aims to find, connect and deliver agriculture and food information worldwide. He has a diploma in Electronics & Computer Engineering, a M.Sc. in Operational Research, and a M.Sc. in Electronics & Computer Engineering, all from the Technical University of Crete, Greece. He also holds a PhD on agricultural information management, from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), Greece. He has extensive experience in designing and coordinating large scale initiatives related to the organisation, sharing, and discovery of agricultural information for research, education and innovation. He is a member (and has served as an elected President) of the ARIADNE Foundation, a non-profit-association working towards the facilitation of knowledge creation, sharing and reuse. He has over 150 publications in scientific journals, book volumes, and conference proceedings. His main interest is in ways in which open agricultural data and models can be the base upon which a new business eco-system may formed to facilitate agricultural and technological innovation.
